03/03/2012 Matthew Good, Emily Greene (Rochester, NY @ The Club At Water Street)

By Eric | March 4, 2012 8:50 am

Two years removed from the last time I’d seen Matt Good, he was back to the solo acoustic shows for this tour. Emily Greene had her half-hour, and she was enjoyable for her performance. Seemed like a fairly young crowd for Matt Good. As I tweeted:

So yeah. Interesting set list from MG, with nothing from Vancouver at all, and except for the closer “How It Goes”, nothing from the latest Lights of Endangered Species. Heavy on the older stuff (hey, no complaints!), and for me, a first time ever hearing anything off of Ghetto Astronauts, as he played the hidden track “Omissions of the Omen”. Wow. A very enjoyable show, very intimate since it was on the club side, and despite the relative lack of crowd involvement, it was still a good time.
