Review:
This is the companion half to ‘Mesmerize’, and as I noted with that release, the sound was cleaned up a bit, and the lyrics are both more political and more goofy at the same time. It’s System, but toned down for the mainstream, which is not a bad thing. The one complaint I have is considering that both albums together run 76 minutes, they could have cut some of the less stellar songs and had a really solid single-disc release. To their credit though, the packaging is of very high quality, and Hypnotize was designed to fit together with Mesmerize to form one big package, and it looks pretty cool.
