Audioslave guitarist Tom Morello recently took the time to comment to Launch on the bands early false start, here’s what he had to say:
“Well, there was a tremendous amount of drama and unnecessary conflict, which was generated by our managerial situation, Timmy and Brad and I had a management company, and Chris had a separate manager, and there was not enough room in the picture for both of them, and it created an enormous amount of conflict, which for a while undermined the band’s solidarity.”
The band eventually aligned themselves with a neutral third party management company which cleared up the rift, leading to their current situation which Morello also discussed, saying:
“We couldn’t be more united, a great deal of love and respect for each other, which we’ve had even during the Ozzfest period, and so (we) are united in our rock power and looking forward to taking it to the masses.”
Audioslave will release their self-titled Epic debut on November 19th.

The world is overjoyed by this most fortuitous piece of information. I have some of my own:
Mike met a guy who works for Sony, and sat in on the recording sessions for Audioslave. And the guy heard the “Leaked Album” mike had given to a friend. Aside from being angry, he did comment that there are about 5 tracks on “Civilian” that are different from that of Audioslave. So don’t ditch your bootleg, because you may never hear those songs again!
