And what a Canada day it was…. Edgefest rocked, got to see Tool, the Tea Party, Big Wreck, Sevendust, and Flybanger, among others. The review will be up shortly! Didnt get home till 3:30 in the morning, but fun wow, it was worth it!

Going to see Oleander, 7 Mary 3, and (if we stay) 3 Doors Down at High Falls tonight, prolly the only time we’ll get to see 7m3 at all, theyre never around here!

500 CDs!
Monday, June 18th, 2001Yes, the inevatible has happened, the 500 cd barrier has been broken, the CD that holds the prestegious honor is the American Version of the Matthew Good Band’s Beautiful Midnight. (Yeah, its a double., I had the Canadian one, so what?)
Toronto was a blast this weekend, Depeche Mode was pretty cool, and chillin at home sunday was fun too. Jake’s birthday / Father’s day, so dad and Jake were getting stuff. Buying for dad is easy… 2-4 of Heineken and you’re done!
This weekend is shaping up for a co-op reunion, then Amandas graduation on sunday, followed by Econoline Crush / Oleander down on Chippewa for free! π

Tuesday, June 12th, 2001Too Many concerts!!!!! Coming up, Im seeing Depeche Mode, Econoline Crush and Oleander (free!), Canadian Edgefest, The Tea Party (free), the Toadies, Staind, and then Off-fest (slipknot, disturbed, p roach, linkin park and mudvayne).

I guess the music industry is the 3rd to go down this route, where the 2nd was politics, following the lead of the professional wrestling.

Christina damages our eardrums
Monday, June 4th, 2001Christina Aguilera is suing a New York record label that plans to release an album of demos she recorded at the age of 14, before she and her navel became internationally ubiquitous. The singer claims that the release of the CD, Just Be Free, will cause “irreparable damage.” Which makes it different from all her other records exactly how?

SRV goldmine
Saturday, May 19th, 2001The Stevie Ray Vaughan collection is coming along nicely… Record Archive was a goldmine today, as I found no less than 5 SRV cds! (Well, 4 if you don’t want to count Family Style). Plus Clapton Unplugged!
Fridays was pretty cool last night, Karls friends from high school came up and we had a blast. Actually got to Rafal’s place [http://come.to/461] too!
Staind and Systematic stuff
Wednesday, May 16th, 2001I finally got my Staind street team stuff!!! Stickers and samplers, with a snippet of Its Been Awhile and the full version of Can’t Believe. FINALLY! And I won the Systematic contest from Pimprock (http://www.theprp.com) [www.theprp.com], so I’ll be getting a “Beginning of the End” single and some signed stuff… woohoo!
