the olp-lb connection

By Eric | February 19, 2002 5:34 pm

I just got this in an email:
The members of Our Lady Peace are launching a national search for a new
guitarist. If you think you have what it takes to join the ranks of one of
Canada’s top rock bands, please send in a 3-4 minute video tape featuring at
most two minutes of your best guitar work and one minute containing a brief
interview and/or description of yourself to: Our Lady Peace – Guitar Search 1121
Leslie Street, Toronto ON M3C 2J9. Submissions must be received by March 31,
2002 for consideration.
Are they turning into Canada’s version of Limp Bizkit? I’m not understanding this trend of doing tours or accepting solicitatations for joining high-profile groups like this… I mean, have they no networking skills? πŸ™‚

    LOLOLOL

    Networking skills….

Shit I hear Matt Good’s Band broke up why don’t they ask him (Ian?? is that his name?)

On a not funny note i think that’s the end of OLP πŸ™ I can’t see them not sucking after this debacle.

Dave Genn, Ian was the drummer…

The fact that they’re doing a search means they dont have anyone good lined up, so whoever theyre gonna get is gonna suck

yeah, can’t see them not sucking either…even tho i dont like them to begin with, they’ll def suck now LOL

You just give me the name of one guitar player – I could talk to him, I have good networking skills!

maybe if they do get a new guitarist, and he doesnt suck, then when they go on tour, they can change up the playlist so that every time i see them it is a new show, instead of the same old show performed over and over again. even though they do kick ass live
