EC likes us

Monday, May 14th, 2001

Trevor Hurst’s Post to the Econoline Crush sister site, brandnewhistory.com [www.brandnewhistory.com] about the EC/3DD show at Niagara University on May 6th….

Niagara, New York

Sadly this was our last day on the 3 Doors Down tour. We had such a great time playing with these guys that we were dreading this day. This is the first band in all our years of playing that gave us a thank you card. Just a great bunch of guys and a wonderful organization to work with.

We just wanted to mention some people that helped make the Niagara show fun. Ted for keeping the thing rolling. Marybeth for all her hard work. Ziggy wanted to thank Nicole. Dan wanted to thank Joe and Eric and all their friends.

The crew guys for 3dd were great too! Special thanks to Gary and Lulu.

The show was outside and it was very cold but the audience hung in there. A lot of people from this show followed us to Buffalo. The fan base is getting bigger day by day.

Dan thanked us! YAY!

new tool, RIT + DVD = splat

Saturday, May 12th, 2001

Gotta love the Record Archive! Tool’s new disc doesnt come out until Tuesday, but they had it for sale today… also got a postcard and a Tool window cling! They also hooked me up with a Staind poster for Break The Cycle… yay! Oh yeah, finally got Jerry Cantrell’s solo disc too… its about time!

RIT’s Spring Festival is in full swing, and its a good thing we went last night… rain and outdoor activities dont usually mix too well. Thursday night they showed Spaceballs out on the Greek Lawn, which was cool…. until the DVD player messed up halfway through the movie…. DOH! How many RIT students does it take to play a DVD?

new staind!

Monday, April 30th, 2001

Yeah, its all butter baby… Half the spindle is gone due to various burns for various people. I’m feeling generous…. 🙂 Not so with the next one… 🙂 Me and Matt returned 8 12-packs back to Wegmans for deposit. 5 bucks worth! (We’re not drunks, really!)

I dont care what anyone says, you can too wear the shirt of the band you’re going to see at the concert. Don’t let them tell you otherwise.

The new Staind album is good. Very Good. I encourage everyone to check it out when it comes out May 22nd, or find it now if you’re so inclined.

burn baby burn

Sunday, April 29th, 2001

Alrighty, about 15 burns later, only 2 coasters, I’m pretty happy with this thing…. 🙂 Finally got Win2000 back up and installed correctly on this beast. So the lesson to be learned? DON’T INSTALL THE SOFTWARE THAT COMES WITH THE BURNER!!

In other news, the mall has proven fruitful for sales this weekend. Picked up a STP shirt for 5 bucks, and then a Godsmack long sleeve for 5 at hot topic! The CD hunting was pretty good too, finally got P Roach, Saliva was only 4 bucks, and two Stevie Ray CDs…. gotta start that collection somehow!

Got to see Sara again which was cool… saved her from the misery that is Geneseo…. 🙂

Wednesday, April 25th, 2001

Ok, how excited am I? Theres a new “side project” or whatever you want to call it called Spys4Darwin. The group is composed of Vinny Dombrowski (singer for Sponge), Chris DeGarmo (guitarist of Queensryche), and Mike Inez and Sean Kinney of Alice in Chains! These guys are gonna rock hard, I cant wait! It supposedly comes out May 18th on the website www.spys4darwin.com. Go check it out!

Acoustic No One

Monday, April 23rd, 2001

Whew! Almost lost the counter… but it’s all good. I won a bid for a Cold “No One” promo on ebay. I was expecting one of the picture tray versions, but I got a plain vanilla promo for the acoustic version. But this is not the version on Project 13!!! SCORE! Works for me!

die crowdsurfers

Saturday, April 21st, 2001

Last night we went to see my Constitutional Law Professor’s blues band at Beale Street. Dr. Fornieri and the Dynamics rocked the house!

Also, Sara has come up with a crowd-surfer protest page of sorts…. go check it out here [www.platinumcomplication.com/crowdsurfers] and add your two cents…

I’m really gonna fix this page when I get the chance and make it look right… sometime 🙂
