This album was a slow burn. It was released in 1994, and sat for about a whole year before Possum Kingdom became a 90’s anthem. The rest of the album from these Texas rockers was just as good.

Review:
I saw these guys open for Seether and Shinedown in Syracuse, and was impressed. Tony C has a deep storytelling type of delivery
ala Everlast, but but the band plays a bluesy-type rock, and it works. I hesitate to call them a party band, but they’re like the fun original band that would play your local bar. Plus, he’s every English teacher’s nightmare with my favorite song, ‘Who I Are’.

The first Tonic album is still my favorite of the three. Aside from ‘If You Could Only See’, the song everyone knows, the album is quite strong, and is a cut above most of the light rock stuff out there.

Review:
7 years in the making, the 2nd Toadies album was a major step up from Rubberneck, and although it did nothing commercially
it was really a quality, solid album with great songs. It’s too bad the band broke up after the tour to support it was over.
