Review:

Another fun straight-up rock-n-roll album. Everyone knows “Lit Up”, and as well they should. I’ll admit, I totally panned this band/album when it came out, and I’ve come around quite a bit on it after actually listening to it. It’s a great hang-out-and-kick-some-back type record.

Review:

Stolen from Amazon: McCain recently took a rare break to record covers of his childhood heroesa dream album of vintage R&B and classic southern soul songs. Nobodys Fault But Mine features the songs of legendary artists including Otis Redding, Sam & Dave, Al Green, Wilson Pickett, Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin and more. McCain recently recorded the album with a dynamic band, including Eddie Bayers and Ivan Neville, plus special guests Steve Cropper and Joan Osborne. Nobodys Fault But Mine was recorded in the spirit of a live album, with little studio overdubbing or tweaks.

Edwin is definately a Tiffany artist, but even after listening to this once, Im gonna like it a whole lot. He really pulls these songs off, it doesnt sound contrived in the least, and theyre just plain fun!

#Demon Seed

Review:

Even though he gave it away for free over the internet, I still like having physical copies! I received #7,564/250,000 from Amazon, which came with one of three sticker packs (I got pack #1, with stickers representing 999,999, Letting You, and The Four Of Us Are Dying) and a bonus DVD with some live rehearsal performances. As for the album itself, it reminds me of a continuation of what Trent started on Year Zero, but perhaps a bit more accessible. Another quality NIN release.

Review:

“I’m here to tell ya, we’re a Kentucky band…”

That about sums it up, these guys rock, rock hard, rock loud, but rock clean. I’d call them one of the best new hard rock bands I’ve found in quite awhile. Tons of blues influence, but its heavy and fast enough to keep you banging your head. Front to back, every song on the album is good, there’s really no filler, and the four b-sides from this album on the two EP’s are every bit as good as what’s on the album. If you like rock music, get this album. Period.

Tool – 2006 – 10,000 Days

By Eric | December 23, 2013 1:00 am

Artist: Tool
Title: 10,000 Days
Label: Volcano
Released: May 2, 2006
Packaging: Cardboard
Pack-in DVD
Release Type: Standard
Autographed

Tracklist:

#Vicarious
#Jambi
#Wings For Marie (Pt 1)
#10,000 Days (Wings Pt 2)
#The Pot
#Lipan Conjuring
#Lost Keys (Blame Hofmann)
#Rosetta Stoned
#Intension
#Right In Two
#Viginti Tres

Review:

More epic-ness from those that do it best. Tool comes back five years after Lateralus with another progressive album with no song clocking in at less than seven minutes. It’s an awful lot to digest, and as a couple of the Amazon reviews have said, you have to be in the right frame of mind. I’m usually not, and so I find it hard to listen to all at once. I usually turn it off and go back to AEnima, which is a bit more accessible. I find the songs on here a bit too long, and too experimental for my taste. However, it’s Tool, which means it’s automatically going to be good, just not as good as some of their others.

Tracklist:

#Dirt Off Your Shoulder ~ Lying From You
#Big Pimpin ~ Papercut
#Jigga What ~ Faint
#Numb ~ Encore
#Izzo ~ In The End
#Points Of Authority ~ 99 Problems ~ One Step Closer

Review:

The ultimate rap-rock combination, or at least according to MTV. LP and Jay-Z mash up their tracks together, and perform them live on the DVD. It’s actually pretty cool, all snark aside, but I think I’d been Linkin Park’d out by the time this came around, so I never truly got into it (as you can see by purchasing it 4 years after it came out).

The little ol band from Texas still knows how to get it done. A solid 16 track effort of that down home Texas rock/blues they’re famous for.

Review:

The follow-up to 94’s Antenna is a down and dirty bluesy rocker. Many fans feel this is one of their strongest albums, which says a lot considering they’d been at it for 25 years or so by this point.
