I bought this for $3 long after everyone else had it. And I’ve still only listened to it all the way through once. I suppose I should try it again, but I like Siamese Dream a lot better on the whole.

Slash’s first solo outing after the demise of the real GNR is so-so. Some of the songs rock, others just plod along. I think he really missed Duff and Izzy.

Another gift from Karl. The guitars had a produced and metallic sound, but that’s not a criticism at all. The album blends the heavy with the soft very well. The Pumpkins at their finest.

Slipknot – 2004 – Vol. 3: The Subliminal Verses

By Eric | December 23, 2013 1:00 am

Title: Vol. 3: The Subliminal Verses
Label: Roadrunner
Released: May 25, 2004
Packaging: Jewel Case
Pack-in DVD
Release Type: Standard
Autographed

Tracklist:

#Prelude 3.0

#Vermilion
#Pulse Of The Maggots
#Before I Forget
#Vermilion Pt. 2
#The Nameless
#The Virus Of Life
#Danger (Keep Away)

Review:

The most varied Slipknot album yet. They acutally go soft on a couple songs (well, soft as far as Slipknot goes), and Corey actually sings a fair amount. The drum solo in the middle of ‘The Blister Exists’ is killer.

Review:

The second release got away from the rap-rock and went more metal. The subject matter was (if you can believe it) even darker, and the music was heavier. I still prefer self-titled to this one.
