Review:
The only album from these guys. It’s hard rock, lost in a sea of other bands that sound just like them. It’s a decent disc, and interesting because one of the songs obviously had a swear word in it, yet it was blanked out so the album didn’t have to get a Parental Advisory sticker (like the Wax Box EP did).

The third Fuel album was a disappointment compared to the other two. The songs were rather bland, and nothing really jumped out as a super strong song. It’s good, but after the other two, its not great. Won’t Back Down is easily the best song on here.

Review:
After the success of Sunburn, the band came back with a strong sophomore effort that both rocked hard, and had its share of ballads (see Bad Day). I was a Fuel fan with the first one, but this album solidified it, combined with the live show on this tour. Wal-Mart had a special edition of the CD with a bonus disc containing songs I didn’t have. Damn record companies screwing the die-hard fans again, and I fell for it, again.

Sunburn was a slow burn, as Shimmer took a bit to crack the charts, but once it did, it became a rock radio staple. After some prompting from a high school friend, and after I saw them on the side stage at Summersault ’98, I turned into a real fan.
