Review:
The long-awaited album from the ‘supergroup’ of Clint and Corey Lowery, Brett Hestla, Troy McLawhorn, and Will Hunt. My anticipation for this disc was high, and all of the expectations were met, especially in light of my enjoyment of all of the members previous bands. Naturally, some of the songs have a Sevendust vibe to them, due to Clint, and Brett will always sound like Virgos to me, but this album has enough unique elements to stand on its own. Much like the first Audioslave disc, its a sum of the individual parts, but something a bit more as well. It rocks hard in spots, and the slower passages are still high quality. A solid effort that was truly 12 years in the making.
