Review:
Chevelle is one of those bands that I like well enough to keep buying the albums, but not so much that it’s like OMGIGOTTAHAVETHISRIGHTNOW, nor do I particularly care about seeing them live. Having said all that, this latest album is much like their prior ones, and that means if you live Chevelle, you’ll like this. If you don’t, there’s nothing here that’s going to change your mind. It’s a solid rock album nonetheless.

Review:
I had owned the advance version of this forever, dredging it out of the buck bin at the old Fantastic Records. Stranger By The Day, and moreso Valentine were fairly big radio hits back in ’99, and I even got to see these guys in Geneseo once. Very catchy radio-friendly pop-rock. There’s at least two different album covers for this album, the much more common one shows a Dick Tracy looking guy, while the rarer one (that I got) shows a villan with a gun holding a woman hostage.

Apparently this collection doesn’t have *all* the hits, according to Stones purists, but to get something in the collection, it works for me. It was originally released in the UK in 1993, and didn’t make it stateside until 2004. Weird.

Admittedly, I’ve liked the Killers albums a little bit less with each successive release, but not enough to stop checking them out. I really didn’t like this album on first listen, but it’s been growing on me.
