Review:
I saw them open for Staind back in ’99. Liked them then, and found I liked the album even more. Some of guitars remind me of Sevendust in parts, but LG had more melody and it worked for them. Another band that didn’t get promoted so they broke up.

The first indie release from these guys. Sounds nothing like Sunshine, and I barely ever listen to this. Actually found this at the dollar store, of all places.

Review:
The only reason I bought this was because it was five bucks at Record Archive. Okay, I also really, really, really want this to grow on me, because I really do like Linkin Park. However, after repeated listens after it came out, I just can’t shake the feeling that for all the hype about how it took them over a year to get the album done, wrote 100+ songs, Rick Rubin really pushed them, etc, etc, this album is nothing more than Chester whining a lot, with hardly any edgier songs at all. It’s almost like Shinoda was told, ‘You got all your rapping out on the Fort Minor disc, so you don’t get to do that, and now you’re not gonna rock out either.’ *sigh* I really hope I grow to like it, but right now, it’s a big steaming pile of ‘meh’.

Review:
Three remixes of the single. Used to be rare, but I think they started pressing it again once LB got huge. My cover is black and white (as opposed to the color one seen more often) and it came in a full jewel case, not a slimline. I think mine was a promo as opposed to something that was sold as an import. The track listing is in a different order than the one in stores also.

Review:
The beginning of the end of Limp Bizkit. This is the last album with Wes, and while the music was still fun, and some of the songs were decent, this marked the rapid descent of Fred Durst into a TRL whore. More often than not, the lyrics were non-sensical and dumb, and Fred can’t really sing either. I bought this one quite early, and got a 2nd pack-in disc with two additonal crappy songs (Back O Da Bus and Snake In Your Face), which probably shouldn’t have ever seen the light of day.

Review:
Hybrid Theory Part II. Seriously. It doesn’t sound like they expanded their sound whatsoever. It’s still a decent album, but the radio drove this one into the ground too, and it’s SHORT. They charged full price for this (I got this used, and with the special edition having a bigger booklet and a DVD, it cost even more new), and it’s only 36 minutes long! I have EP’s longer than this!

Hybrid Theory rehashed. Some of the remixes are cool, others get skipped, as with most remix albums.

Review:
I had picked up a new music sampler from a record store in the fall of 2000 which had One Step Closer on it. The first time I heard it, I thought, “Wow, now that is some slickly produced rap-rock, and it sounds good!” I bought this album the day it was released, and enjoyed it immensely. Of course, the rest of the country found out about them, and due to radio overexposure, these songs literally got played to the point of nausea. I still think it’s a good album, but even now I can’t stand to listen to it anymore because I’m still so sick of hearing it. And it’s only 38 minutes long!
