Review:
I got into KsE right around the time they were re-releasing this album with a 2nd disc of bonus material (specifically a couple new songs, and live stuff from the first album with new singer Howard Jones). I decided to hold out and wait to purchase the album until the special edition was out. Good decision, as the new songs were worth the wait. The album itself is a metalcore masterpiece and is even better than Alive Or Just Breathing, in my opinion. This may be due to the fact that I like Howard Jones as a vocalist better than Jesse Leach (but not by much!).

Review:
KsE’s major label debut, and it completely rips from front to back. Jesse Leach’s vocals are in all their glory, and this cemented KsE’s place as the leaders of the American metalcore movement. There just isn’t a bad song on here.

Review:
The indie release that led to the Roadrunner signing. Some of the tracks later appeared on Alive Or Just Breathing, and some didn’t. Pretty damn good for an indie CD. This is actually the re-released version, which was remastered by guitarist Adam D, and added 4 demo versions of songs tacked onto the end. The albums inital release was in 2000.

Review:
I’d had the mp3’s for awhile, and finally got around to buying the CD. Aside from the two singles everyone knows, the rest of this album is quite good, and rather catchy. A lot of people think that this band is the start of a revival of the New Wave sound of the 80’s, and that may well be. I personally don’t usually don’t go for these types of bands, but like I said, it’s catchy!
And rather interesting, the US and UK versions are different by one track, that being track 8, the US version has ‘Change Your Mind’, whereas the UK version (and the mp3’s I had) has ‘Glamorous Indie Rock And Roll’. So I have a pseudo-bonus track!

Review:
They dropped the Smudge from their name, and went a little darker and harder than on Blue Collar Solitude. These guys were acutally one of the better bands to come out of the alt-rock/nu-metal scene, although they never made it big.

Review:
A band from the New England area, not quite nu-metal, but definately hard rock. The singer has a cool deep voice, and sadly these guys were overlooked by most people.

Review:
The self-titled album is the follow up to Cocky, and I really haven’t listened to it a whole lot. It’s got a lot more country feel to it than even Cocky did, and far less of the rap-rock. It’s not bad, but I just haven’t gotten into it as much as the other two.

Review:
The album after the success that was Devil Without A Cause, and while it didn’t sell as well, this had more rock and country influence than hip-hop, and was a better album musically-speaking. It’s probably best-known for the “Picture” duet with Sheryl Crow.

Review:
The record company didn’t want to put the title track on the album due to the ‘I’m going platinum’ boast. Well, he did go platinum
7 times. Luckily, I got to meet him and see him at Water Street before he became a mega-star, and he put on a hell of a show.
