Keith Wallen is BB’s guitar player, and opened the show with his solo stuff.
Lacey Sturm [of Flyleaf fame] came out in the middle of the set to sing “Dear Agony”, like on Aurora, and stayed for a TOTD “Hunger Strike” cover, then her husband came out to play guitar as well on a cover of Flyleaf’s “So I Thought”. Ben was imploring the band to take shots at various points of the show, as it was the last one of the tour and he wanted to see how messed up they could get by the end of the show. [Spoiler: they weren’t that bad by the end.] The PA cut out right at the beginning of Failure, leading the crowd to sing Bohemian Rhapsody all by themselves! Bass player Aaron Bruch did a solo take on PJ’s “Indifference” to give the rest of the band a break, which was quite good. Another fun show hanging with Pete and Kiersten (and their friend Tim) as usual!

Our Lady Peace show #20!! Rather than having to drive to Buffalo to see them at the 1000-cap Town Ballroom, I drove 10 minutes from my house to see them in a tiny 400-cap place much like the first time I saw them at the Tralf 24 years ago. Much like the other modern-day OLP shows, they were good, Raine sounded okay, but they’ll never have a satisfying setlist anymore (Buffalo the night before got Naveed, we got Somewhere Out There) and I could have done without the two covers. Having said that, the new songs (The Message, Wish You Well) were pretty decent. It was still fun, I still had a good time. Very nice to see them in a more intimate setting than even Anthology a couple years ago, and I got to hang with TK and Phill, so that was even better.

Any Given Sin may as well be Shinedown Live Band Karaoke, the singer sounds *just* like Brent. They were fine, standard Octane-type fare.
Ra had been playing “The Voice Inside My Head” but it was crossed out on our setlist for whatever reason. Show was small, maybe 85 people tops, but everyone that was there was happy to be there – Sahaj and the band sounded great! They hit the merch table after the show so I was able to tell Sahaj how I saw them 18 years ago at the Penny Arcade with Seether and grab a quick selfie. He was super gracious with everyone, made a nice ending to a fun show!
