Review:
I picked this up for $3, and other than Hair of the Dog and the Buick Makane / Big Dumb Sex covers. I never really listened to this, and I still don’t. Some of the songs are interesting, and some of them are just kinda crappy.

My mom bought these two for me at Christmas in 1991. I don’t think she knew what she was getting into. I damn near wore these tapes out, and I still listen to these two. Obviously this was GNR at the height of their popularity, and despite what critics and fans have said, I really don’t think there’s too much filler on these at all.

I saw these guys for free at Water Street opening for Injected, and was very impressed by them (How could you not be after seeing Velour play first’). The album is just as impressive, and is a fine piece of pop-rock work. “Breathe” was a very minor hit for them, but then was re-done by Melissa Etheridge, and became a huge hit for her.

Much like Nimrod, besides the singles, I don’t know much about this album. It’s the follow-up to Dookie, and since I was in and out of my Green Day phase with that album, I never got this one. Tiff is the bigger Green Day fan, so I’m slowly getting her the whole discography.
